Job Summary :

This position will give exposure and training in a real life manufacturing environment and requires a genuine interest in all aspects of IT.

This role will give no exposure to the following: web development, app development, game development.

Essential Duties/ Principal Responsibilities :

  • Dell hardware including Desktops/Laptops/and Servers

  • Cisco Switches and routers

  • Cisco IP telephony systems

  • iPhones in an AD environment

  • Wi-Fi networks and security

  • Microsoft operating systems including Windows 7 /8/and 10 and Windows server 2003 /2008/2012

  • Microsoft SQL 2005 /2008 /2016

  • Microsoft Office 2010 / Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint, One Note, Access

  • Syspro 6.1 /7 MRP ERP

  • DataSwitch

  • Kardex PPG software

  • Adobe Reader and Acrobat software

  • Equator Shop Floor Data Collection

  • Dell and HP printers , print servers and network print queues

  • TCP/IP LAN and WAN networking, CAT 5 structured cabling and fiber optics

  • Network /WAN/LAN Fault finding

  • Network security and Active directory

  • VPN remote access

  • McAfee Anti-Virus software

  • File structures

  • Backup and recovery using OnQ devices

  • Hardware faultfinding

  • Working with third party suppliers (hardware and software)

  • Report writing

  • BI /SSRS/SSIS/Dashboards

  • Help Desk calls

  • CCTV systems

  • Mitrefinch TMS system
