Pay Rate:

The pay rate for this job is $14.35 / hour

What you'll be doing as a Apprentice Diesel Technician:

• Perform repairs and assigned preventative maintenance services.

• Performs inspections, diagnosis, and repair of electrical, hydraulics, suspension, brake and air systems on vehicles and equipment.

• Utilize vehicle computer electronic systems to interpret failure modes to initiate or assign repairs.

• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues and provide appropriate solutions.

• Complete required paperwork utilizing fleet maintenance software program associated with repairing vehicles, documenting parts usage, accounting for repair times, and records of all maintenance and repair work performed.

• Conduct inspections and testing of vehicle systems and components performs service calls for emergency breakdowns.

• Class B CDL preferred or ability to obtain in the future.

• Repair or replace faulty parts and components, such as brakes and suspension.

• Fabricate or modify vehicle parts as needed.

• Reviews, completes, or assigns repairs identified on Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports.

• Use specialized tools and equipment to perform repairs.

• Maintain a clean, safe work environment in compliance with corporate and OSHA standards.

Available shifts:

Shift Timings: 1st Shift (Day), 2nd Shift (Evening)

Job requirements:

• Experience in mechanic work or similar role

• Valid drivers license

• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and diagrams

• Familiarity with air brake systems, diesel equipment and knowledge of vehicle systems and components a plus

• Ability to perform; heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling required of objects over 50 pounds.

• Ability to work in all indoor and outdoor environments.
