Service Champions HVAC Install Apprentice in Los Angeles, California
JW Heating and is currently looking for a dynamic HVAC Install Apprentice . They are responsible for traveling to customers' homes and following directions from their Lead Installer to assist in proficiently installing HVAC equipment. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining communication with the office staff in order to foster a cohesive operation.
Key Responsibilities:
Report to the shop to load equipment needed for the day to truck
Communicate with Lead Installer before leaving shop to go to the job
Attend all training classes and seminars to obtain expertise in the field
Adhere to proper paperwork procedures
Take direction regarding scheduling
Keep Lead informed at all times of the progress throughout the day
Collect payment for services rendered when required
Follow through on job problems and communicate issues with Lead
Keep abreast of all company sales promotions and pricing
Turn in all paperwork to office making sure it is filled out completely and accurately in the field
Maintain all minimum required stock on truck at all times
Recommend/sell equipment, service agreements, duct cleanings and accessories when it is requested by the customer or is in the best interest of the customer to do so
Other tasks as requested by management
Qualifications :
Ability to represent JW in a professional manner with customers, vendors, staff and the general public
Work well under pressure
Must have valid drivers' license and a good driving record
Good communicator - works well with different customers and office personality styles.
Ability to handle difficult customer/diagnostic issues
Adaptability-the individual adapts to changes in the work environment, manages competing demands and is able to deal with frequent change, delays or unexpected events
Must be able to pass a drug test and background check

Physical Demands
The principal duties of this position are performed in a variety of environments, including customer homes, the outdoors, and field environments at development and work sites on uneven and rough terrain.
Required to work in outside weather conditions, including heat, cold, and temperature swings, for extended periods of time.
Requires concentration and attention to detail; requires a high level of organizational and prioritization skills.
Standing up to 8 hours per day; Walking up to 8 hours per day on uneven, difficult terrain.
Occasional heavy manual labor to include lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds.
Regular and repetitive grasping, gripping, reaching, bending, stooping, crouching, climbing, squatting, kneeling, and working overhead.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word to impart oral information to others and to convey detailed spoken instructions accurately, loudly, or quickly.
The ability to hear, understand, and distinguish speech and/or other sounds (e.g., machinery alarms, or alarms).
