EMR, Inc. Apprentice Electrician in Niceville, Florida

EMR, Inc. is accepting applications for motivated individuals willing to learn and train to be an Electrician . We have work on both Government and Non-Government projects. Residential and Commercial work available.

Specific Duties & Responsibilities:

  • You will learn how to analyzes and interprets electrical and related blue prints, schematics, and drawings of electrical systems for the purpose of determining the efficient installation of new or upgraded systems.

  • You will learn how to diagnose causes of electrical problems or failures for the purpose of identifying equipment and/or systems repair.

  • You will learn how to inspect electrical systems and their components for the purpose of evaluating condition, identifying necessary repairs and recommending preventive maintenance.

  • You will learn how to request equipment and supplies for the purpose of maintaining inventory and ensuring availability of items required to complete the necessary installation and/or repair.

  • You will learn how to repair electrical components and/or systems (e.g. motors, circuits, compressors, switches, etc.) for the purpose of ensuring a safe working condition.

    Experience, Education, Skills, and Certifications

  • Must be willing to enroll in an Apprenticeship program paid by EMR.

  • Valid driver’s license with clean MVR/dependable transportation.

  • Must pass a drug test and background screening.

  • Must maintain current automobile insurance at all times.

  • Minimum high-school diploma or equivalent.

  • Must be willing and able to temporarily relocate.

  • Must be willing to work overtime when necessary.

  • Must possess skills to use all necessary tools both manual and power.

  • Self-starter with the ability to hit the ground running and work independently to establish and manage work priorities, activities, and timelines to achieve results.

  • Ability to problem solve with minimal direction.

  • Must demonstrate a positive and professional attitude, maintaining composure and ability to get along with others and while working under tight schedules.

  • Acts in a manner of integrity in support of company values when communicating with architects, engineers, and construction managers, as well as other consultants.

  • Demonstrates proficiency in using a personal computer, communication tools, e-mail, internet, and Microsoft Office products such as Word, Excel and Outlook.
