The Wistar Institute has an opening for a Fox Biomedical Research Technician (BRT) Apprentice in the laboratory of Dr. Luis Montaner.

Job duties will include immune cell isolation, cell cultures, and immune-based manipulations of PBMC with data generation by flowcytometry, proteomics and genomics methods. Responsibilities will include experimental data generation, data analysis and archiving. Research focus will be on the immunoregulatory networks mediated by S100 proteins and negative immune-checkpoints on interferon-beta production and regulation.

Education requirements: High School diploma or GED required; associate or bachelor's degree in biology or similar discipline preferred.  

Successful completion of the Biomedical Technician Training (BTT) Pre-apprenticeship Program or equivalent laboratory experience is a prerequisite for this position.
