GENERAL PURPOSE

Make customer deliveries, pickups, and when not driving, help out in the warehouse. Drivers are expected to be DOT Compliant at all times. They must also adhere to all the Federal and State laws and regulations when operating a Motor Vehicle, CBSI safety standards, and the Celtic Service Guarantee.

MAIN JOB TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES

Communicate with the dispatch desk when needed or if you have any questions. Check load and complete pre and post trip safety inspection according to the Policy and

. Process document and complete and submit DOT logs daily. Call customers 10 to 15 minutes before delivery using a hands free device. Compare material being delivered to pick ticket for accuracy Make sure customer signs the pick ticket and keep paperwork organized. Provide service to customers per CBSI standards and the CSG. Use caution when on the road and drive in a manner that reduces risk at all times. Compare Purchase Orders being picked up for accuracy. Follow the process for customer returns and refusals Keep trucks clean inside and out, and check inspections and registrations for compliance. Pick inventory for customer orders when in the yard and deliveries are completed. Help keep up the maintenance of the fleet Fuel trucks during the day, and record how much fuel is used on fuel sheets. Other Duties as Assigned

EXPERIENCE (KNOW) At least one year of commercial delivery in the tristate area. Knowledge of construction material and/or building supplies and the proper handling and identification of these supplies preferred but not required. Knowledge of CBSI principals, policies, and CSG. Proper way to load trucks safely and within DOT regulations. Know how to correctly read and understand the CBSI pick tickets. Know DOT rules and regulations. Keep a neat and orderly work area.
